Cypress
A friend who attends at the same church we attend asked me if I would be interested in building a mobile bar for use at his outdoor patio on the lake. Given its outdoor use he asked if it could be made from cypress wood and finished with a dark stain. His wife provided a sketch of what they wanted for storage inside the unit, and he had the granite top custom made. The unit is supported on six casters, two of which are locking, concealed inside the base. Photos below show the various components that make up the unit prior to assembly and some progress photos. Cypress is a naturally light colored wood with pronounced grain so apply a dark stain can be tricky.
