Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry)
A church friend had recently remodeled their home, using Jatoba for the flooring. The original home had oak balusters and railing for the basement stair, and it was incompatible with the new environment. They asked if I could remove the original railings and replace it with new. Similar to domestic cherry, Jatoba is light sensitive and darkens with exposure to light. Over time the wood elements darken to match the floor.
