My grandson reached the stage of “crossing over” from cub scout to boy scout status and his father, my son-in-law, suggested that he and I build a bridge symbolizing this process. It incorporates the twelve points of the scout law, and includes the cub scout logo on the starting side with the boy scout logo at the end of the bridge. The structure is assembled with dowels so that it can be disassembled and stored for use by the cub scout pack in their annual ceremony.
