Dining Room Table

Cherry

A friend from the church where we attend told me that he and his wife really enjoyed Sundays when their grown children and grandchildren would come to their house for dinner and family fellowship. The only problem was that they did not have a table large enough to accommodate the extended family. He asked if I might be willing to make a dining room table and matching chairs. We agreed to use natural (unstained) cherry for a table with extension leaves that would be stored inside the table when not in use. The table top is attached to equalizer supports that allow the top to expand equally in both directions when one end is pulled. The photos below show the wood as I received it from the sawmill and some progress photos during fabrication. His wife made the upholstered seat cushions.
