Walnut
A church friend asked if I would be interested in making a top for their kitchen table that would be square most of the time, but would have flip-up elements that would allow it to become circular and seat more people. They requested natural walnut so 5/4 walnut was used for the top. Images below show the raw wood that was used for the table and progress photos during fabrication.
